Welcome to the home page of the Alabama Service Rifle Team. The Alabama Service Rifle Team is made up of Alabama State Rifle & Pistol Association members. The team is picked from State Rifle & Pistol Association members that are active Highpower shooters from across Alabama.

The State Service Rifle Team competes in both NRA and CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) Highpower rifle matches. The CMP was created by the U.S. Congress. The original purpose was to provide civilians an opportunity to learn and practice marksmanship skills so they would be skilled marksmen if later called on to serve the U.S. military. The CMP matches are Service Rifle only matches and allow the use of one of three rifles, M1, M14 or the AR15.

The Service Rifle Team shoots various matches through out the southeast and has a State of Alabama Service Rifle Championship each year to crown the best Service Rifle Shooter in the state. The Team also helps instruct several "New Shooter" clinics during the year to help new shooters who want to learn the art of High Power rifle shooting.

Please check back soon; this site is under construction and will have updates.
